Ive been enjoying my time off (that I have to say was the hardest thing I had to do, I even had to turn of the automatic notifications to my iphone...its so tempting to just quickly respond to a few emails and before you know it you've missed your family gathering!) But I've also been in a place of lets just say a fork in the road....knowing there is something for me do, a message inside me that pushes to get out, but not knowing how.
Today I feel inspired! Today I realized that as much as I have something to offer for other people to gain benefit from (and I know people do), I am in it for the pure exquisite joy, unadulterated pleasure of playing in the game of my own health, the pursuit of physical well-being, spiritual well-being, the pursuit of off the grid-ness (you know what I mean). They say in alcoholics anonymous that the best way to keep yourself sober is to help someone else stay sober! This is genius! The best way for me to keep myself in check and on the path of joy and pleasure and physical emotional and spiritual well-being is to help others do it too!! This may not sound like genius to your ears, but GOSH did it ever sound like genius to mine!

Pictured here is my little reading oasis that when everyone leaves the house I sometimes retire to usually with guilty feelings and my little caged tiger in my mind racing around saying "oh my look at the time" (I imagine it sounds like the voice of the clock in Beauty and the Beast), and you should be working, how are you going to accomplish what you set out to if your not working!?! Yes, its pretty punishing at times! I think it runs that particular rotation of messages because I was brought up in the environment of the farm (which i cherish with all my heart and wouldn't trade for the world). On the farm there is never enough time, if your not moving things aren't getting done, and money is made through physical labour... My revelation today was " my work is not my fathers work". WOW blew me away. My work is not my fathers work, my fathers work is that of physical labour and do do do and go go go... my work is to stay inspired and to experience the joy of making gel and soap from scratch, to make cheese, and to stay in the pursuit of pleasure that my heart sings to when I'm in that place, there is no place to GET to, like at some point I'll be successful and I'll be able to have all the time in the world to make cheese and lye from scratch and play around with cows and not have to worry about rusty water and and and... well in actual fact as many spiritual teachers say, the time is now. Do what gives you pleasure now, in the present moment, do not wait. And the cool thing is whether those things end up making me money or not, the vibrational space I'm in will create a whole new set of possibilities and opportunities! I'm drawing the experience closer to me, the experience of joy and great pleasure - which after all is what I want, I only think that hoards and hoards of money and the perfect house will be the MEANS and WAY of getting me there! I can create it RIGHT HERE and right now!
